Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve

Mpumalanga , South Africa

The Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve forms part of the world famous Sabi Sands Reserve which is well known for its incredible leopard viewing. The reserve is adjacent to the Kruger National Park and traverses around 6000 hectares. The Sabi Sabi property is effectively split in to two sections linked together via a main access road within the Sabi Sands Reserve. Sightings of all the big five are excellent on this reserve. There is a fairly high density of game viewing vehicles operating in this section of the reserve which can make game drives feel a little crowded at times but sightings are generally well controlled. Sabi Sabi is actively involved in rehabilitating land damaged by off road driving which is a commendable endeavour. Sightings of general game typical of the African savannah can be expected and the birding in this area is great - particularly in the summer months (October – April).

The Sabi Sabi camps offer daily bush walks, giving guests a chance to explore the bush on foot and appreciate some of its smaller creatures and features. The guides have received extensive training and have a healthy knowledge base regarding the animals and their surroundings and work well with Sabi Sabi’s experienced local trackers. Even seasoned safari visitors will appreciate their in depth perspectives on what is happening in the natural world around them.

Sabi Sabi consists of four private camps:

Earth Lodge is located in the western section and the other three camps (Selati, Bush Lodge and Little Bush Camp)in the main north-eastern section. The property shares traversing rights with its eastern neighbour – Nottens Bush Camp
